CM’s Republic day gift to people: CM Health Insurance Scheme

Dehradun: During the Republic Day Celebrations held at Parade Ground, the Chief Minister Harish Rawat formally announced the Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme. Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that the scheme is being formally launched from today but the beneficiaries will get its benefit from 1st April 2015.
The CM said that the purpose of the scheme is to provide relief to common public. The APL and BPL families have been included in this scheme. This scheme will not include families of tax payers and individuals in government sector.
Under this CM Health Insurance Scheme, all family members of the individuals will be given benefit and a card will also be issued.
They will be able to get cashless health treatment upto Rs 50000 from government as well as identified private hospitals. These include 1350 types of diseases. The main purpose of this scheme is to provide medical aid to APL families incapable of getting medical treatment.
Present on the occasion were Health Minister Surendra Singh Negi, Cabinet Minister Pritam Singh, Pricipal Secretary Medical Health Om Prakash, Mohommad Shahid and DG Information Chandresh Kumar among others.
