Yogendra Yadav & Prashant Bhushan Axed from AAP’s core decision making committe

New Delhi: Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan, founder members of the Aam Aadmi Party, were dropped from a top decision-making panel at a marathon meeting held in the middle of the party’s raging internal war. The two leaders, who have been increasingly critical in their assessment of Arvind Kejriwal and the party’s functioning, reportedly resisted the offer to “resign gracefully.”

Not a Party Spokesperson anymore

“Apart from not being in the PAC they will also not be the party spokesperson anymore,” a party source said. Asked whether the National Executive has taken a decision on Kejriwal’s resignation, another party leader said, “no”.

Sources said Yadav came under attack in the meeting for allegedly leaking information to a media reporter who used it in a column. Talking to reporters, Yadav said he would work as a disciplined worker for the party. Earlier sounding a reconciliatory tone even as his fate in the party hangs in the balance, senior leader Yogendra Yadav said the crisis was an “opportunity” and that he will not quit.
