Government gives green signal to opening 1st eye bank in Uttarakhand

Haldwani: The Government of Uttarakhand has given its green signal to open the first eye bank in Uttarakhand. The eye bank will be constructed under the blindness control program and is slated to open at Sushila Tiwari Medical College in Haldwani. The government has also sanctioned a sum of rupees 1 crore towards the medical college for opening of the eye bank.
Many organizations held campaigns and awareness programs regarding the issue and finally all their hard work has paid off as the government has decided to open the eye bank at Sushila Tiwari Medical College in Haldwani.
