CBSE to conduct AIPMT retest on July 25th

Acting on the Supreme Court orders, the Central Board of Secondary Education  (CBSE) has decided to re-conduct the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) on July 25th. The board announced in a press release that no fresh applications will be accepted for the examination and it will be a retest for candidates who had applied within the stipulated time from December 1, 2014 to January 31, 2015 with the requisite fee.

The CBSE has advised candidates to track the AIPMT website for details.

It added that no fresh applications would be accepted for the examination and it would be a “retest only in respect of the candidates who had applied within the stipulated time from 01/12/2014 to 31/01/2015 with requisite fee”.

The Supreme Court on June 15 gave CBSE a time frame of 4 weeks to conduct the exam and declare the results of AIPMT for medical and dental courses for the year 2015-16. This year, over 630,000 students wrote the test at 1,050 centres across India for over 3,800 medical seats.

As aspirants and parents raised concerns, the Supreme Court had on Friday given CBSE time till August 17 to conduct the exam and declare the results of AIPMT for medical and dental courses for the year 2015-16.
