Stan the man in Paris

Stan Wawrinka unleashed a super aggressive power packed game that proved to be too much even for the world number 1 Novak Djokovic. Stan, seed eighth at this year French Open wowed the audiences with his unbelievable ground strokes especially his back hand which he unleashed with such power that Thor himself would be proud of it with his round the post backhand possibly being the shot of the tournament.

It was another heartbreak for the Serb who was bidding just the eighth player to complete a career Grand Slam, having been a two time finalist two times prior to today. The loss would be a bitter pill to swallow for the world number 1 especially given his red hot form coming into the finals where he was riding on a 28 match winning streak that included wins over 9 times French Open champion Rafael Nadal and two time Grand Slam winner Andy Murray in the finals.
