CM decides to cut back on own salary for people’s welfare

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat has announced to reduce his income which he is entitled to as the Chief Minister of the state by 25%. The CM will donate the said amount to Chief Minster’s relief fund.  CM Rawat has directed the Chief Secretary about the details over phone.

Furthermore, the CM has decided to drop off one vehicle from his fleet and declared that all flight travels made by the CM as well his ministers and officers will be done on economy class. Apart from this a 10% donation from the salaries of ministers and as well as ministers nominated by the government will also be made towards Chief Minister Relief fund.

The CM also set a 26th January 2016 deadline on flyover projects in Dehradun so that he can dedicate the flyovers to the public on the occasion of Republic Day.
