CM Rawat alleges sting concocted by BJP

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat has alleged that the sting CD involving bribery in liquor licensing has been concocted by the BJP to malign his government. The CM also added that the BJP should answer as to when and where was the footage shot instead of playing politics over it.

MDDA finds irregularities in whistle-blower’s building

The MDDA decided to check the building details of an under construction building in Chakrata road, which reportedly belongs to Ashok Pandey, the whistle-blower of the liquor scam. Upon inspection the officials found several irregularities after which they gave orders to demolish the building. BJP, the opposition party in Uttarakhand came out in full support of the journalist and termed the move as a revenge tactic by the government and warned of state wide protests.
