YUPix- a portable printer compatible with smartphones

YUPIX is a compact pocket sized printer — like the one LG launched a couple of years ago — primarily for smartphone photos. YU claims the printer has an image transfer speed which is 10 times faster than other pocket printers. Its dimensions are 2.99 x 6.01 x 0.94 inches and it weighs 273gms.

YUPix is a product of Rahul Sharma’s (co-founder of Micromax) Yu Televentures & is compatible with Android and iOS smartphones. It comes with a price tag of Rs 6999. The printer has a resolution of 291dpi and supports 16.7million colours.
The printer boasts of a cartridge that does not require a cleaning roll. Using Dye Sublimation technology and a printing resolution of 291 dpi, YUPIX prints 10 continuous copies which can be attributed to the cartridge which has Ink Ribbon & Photo Paper Integrated into it apart from being water and finger print proof, as per the company.
