Bevarage giant Pepsi jumps into the mobile market with Pepsi P1 series

Pepsi unveils its Android powered smartphones P1 and P1s

Food and beverage company Pepsi launched  its first phone Pepsi P1 and P1s. While both phones come with same specifications, the only difference between the Pepsi P1 and P1s is that the latter comes with FDD-LTE support for China Unicom.

The Pepsi P1 phone is powered by 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor and it comes with 2GB of RAM. The phone packs 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Pepsi Phone P1 packs a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies.

Pepsi P1 runs on Android 5.1 and is powered by a 3000mAh non removable battery. It measures 152.20 x 76.20 x 7.70 (height x width x thickness) and weighs 158.00 grams.

Pepsi is only working with the licensing partner Scooby Communication to market a line of mobile phones and accessories in China. The company, however, has no plans to get into the mobile phone manufacturing business.
