Uttarakhand Cabinet approves 7th pay commission for 4 organizations

Several important decisions were taken in the meeting of the Uttarakhand cabinet. The Cabinet also stamped its approval to allow benefits of the seventh pay commission to KVMV, GMVN, Zilla Panchayat and corporation employees. Along with it, it was decided that liquor shops would now open from 10 am to 10 pm.

A discussion was held on 24 points in the Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat. On the basis of recommendations of the Pay Committee in the state, the seventh pay scales were approved in the Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam and Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam. Local bodies also agreed on the seventh pay scale. In addition to this the district panchayat employees were also put in the 7th pay commission slab.

Also, extension of Haridwar and Roorkee Municipal Corporations has been approved. State employees were also given the ad hoc bonus for the financial year 16-17. Until the vacant positions of assistant professors were vacant in the government colleges, till the recruitment was made to the Public Service Commission, the alternative arrangements were approved. Under this, eligible candidates of UGC’s prescribed qualification will be kept on honorarium according to five hundred rupees per day. Remuneration for a month will not exceed Rs 25 thousand.
