US President Donald Trump nominated for Nobel Peace Prize 2021

US President Donald Trump has been nominated for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize. Norway’s Progress Party MP and NATO Parliamentary Assembly chairman Christian Tybring Gjedde has named Trump for the award, considering Trump’s pivotal role in the peace deal between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.

In a media interview, Tybring said that Trump has not only helped to reach an agreement between Israel and the UAE, but has also appealed for peaceful talks with North Korea and Iran, which is commendable. He said that no other member nominated for this award has made more efforts than Trump to establish global peace. Whenever there was a dispute between any two countries, Trump offered arbitration to resolve it, he is the rightful recipient of this award.

He told that Donald Trump has fulfilled all the three qualifications to get this award. He has not promoted any kind of armed conflict with other countries nor initiated any kind of war. He has tried to solve the problem through dialogue. He further said that Trump has reduced the number of NATO and US troops in the Middle East countries. The Nobel Peace Prize will be announced in next year i.e. October 2021.

Reconciliation between the two countries took place in August 2020

In August 2020, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Israel made a historic agreement, forgetting decades-old rivalry. US President Donald Trump played a role in this agreement.
