Uttarakhand Paper leak case: ‘Why reluctance for CBI inquiry?’ -Congress media in-charge Rajeev Mehrishi

Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress media in-charge Rajeev Mehrishi has strongly condemned the barbaric, inhuman and reprehensible act done by the police on Thursday with the unemployed youths who were protesting peacefully in clock tower area of Dehradun, terming it as unacceptable.

Mehrishi said that the ‘anti-corruption government’ of the state was so annoyed that unemployed youths were protesting that the police in the middle of the night, no such example has been seen in the state till date. He said that the state government has not been able to conduct even a single recruitment honestly and cleanly, while the youth demanding investigation of dishonesty are being detained in the dark of night by using the police force, ‘this is in a way the misconduct of the Dhami government’.

He said that the government has completely failed in discharging its responsibility. The government has lost its relevance along with losing the trust of the unemployed youth. He said that CBI inquiry into scams and rigging in recruitment examinations was the only way out. The government should immediately announce this. He said that the Congress not only condemns the injustice done to the youth, but also supports the movement of unemployed youth. He reiterated that a CBI inquiry is the only way to put a stop to recruitment scams. He questioned why the BJP and its government were avoiding the CBI probe. Recently, there have been paper leak cases in many government exams in the state due to which there was a protest movement by the youth.
