EPL 2015: Chelsea just two wins away from becoming champions

Eden Hazard’s 38th-minute strike gave Chelsea a clinical 1-0 home victory on Saturday over Man United that means they will be champions if they win their next two games away to Arsenal and third-from bottom Leicester City. The Belgium midfielder scored the only goal of the game in the 38th minute when he placed a low shot past United goalkeeper David de Gea after Oscar had back-heeled the ball into his path.
Chelsea 10 points clear at the top of the Premier League table
Chelsea will be champions if they win their next two matches, against second-placed Arsenal and Leicester.
“I feel we are almost there, but there are no ‘almosts’ in football,” said Chelsea manager Mourinho.
But when asked if Chelsea had effectively secured the title, Mourinho replied: “No, because we need eight points to be champion.
“Football is not about ‘if’, it’s not about ‘almost’ — it’s about mathematics. When mathematically it’s done, it’s done, and we celebrate.
“But until that moment, we need two victories and two draws to be champion.”
The Red Devils produced a very solid performance away from home enjoying more than 70% of possession but it wasn’t enough as Chelsea go ten points clear at the top of the English Premier League.
