Team India beat West Indies by 10 wickets to win series 2-0

Team India defeated the West Indies by 10 wickets in the Hyderabad Test and won the two-match Test series 2-0. On the lines of the Rajkot Test, the Indian team in the Hyderabad Test also dashed the hopes of the visiting team in three days. After winning the toss, the West Indies were all out for 311 runs in the first innings.

Scorecard

In reply, Team India scored 367 runs in its first innings. On the basis of first innings, Team India gained a 56 run lead over the visitors. After this, the West Indies were bundled out for just 127 runs in the second innings and India got a target of 72 runs to win. In the fourth innings, Team India, without losing any wicket, achieved this easy goal and scored 75 runs and defeated the West Indies.

Indian team scored 367 runs in the first innings on the back of brilliant innings of Rishabh Pant (92) and Ajinkya Rahane (80). India got a 56-run lead against the West Indies India was looking at the crisis once but Rahane and Pant shared a 152-run partnership for the fifth wicket.

Ajinkya Rahane missed out on his century and scored 80 runs to become the victim of the Holder. After Rahane, Rishabh Pant was dismissed by Gabriel for a personal score of 92. Pant was out for 92 runs for the second time in this series. Earlier in the Rajkot Test, he returned to the pavilion on the same score.

Umesh grabbed 4 more wickets in the second innings to become just the third Indian pacer to grab 10 or more wickets in a test match at home. He won the man of the match for his performance. Teenage sensation Prithvi Shaw won the Man of the Series award for being the highest run getter in the series.
