Tanu weds Manu 2 trailer unveiled
The trailer of Tanu weds Manu returns suggests that there aren’t always “happily-ever-afters” even in Bollywood.
The two-and-a-half minute long preview stars Kangana Ranaut as the impetuous Tanu, Kangana Ranaut as the athletic, cropped-haired Datto/Kusum and R Madhavan as the long-suffering Manu.c
Kangana proves her versatility yet again
Whether playing the bratty Manu or the athletic Kusum, Kangana Ranaut blends seamlessly in both the roles proving why she walked away with the National Award for Queen.
Unlike Bollywood sequels which just share their names with the preceding films Tanu Weds Manu 2, is actually a continuation of its predecessor. Tanu (Kangana Ranaut) and Manu (Madhavan) have been married for a while and from the looks of it, all’s not well. Manu is mulling filing for divorce and Tanu is upset with her husband over several things – one them being putting on weight.
Manu, on his part, is unapologetic and quips, “So was I Hrithik Roshan before marriage?”
Both Kangana and Madhavan get happily married in the prequel. But, now after 4 years of married life, the marriage has lost its charm. Both Tanu and Manu live in London and they decide to take a break to set the things right again.
‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ also features Jimmy Shergill, Deepak Dobriyal and Eijaz Khan. The film is slated to hit the theatres on May 22.
