Rishikesh to host the Badri Kedar festival

The Uttarakhand Department of Culture has decided to organize the Badri Kedar festival at Rishikesh instead of Badrinath, the dates for which will be announced shortly.

According to the festival calendar released by the department, the Badri Kedar festival is usually organised at Badrinath from June 2 to 24 every year. But this year the preoccupation of the officials concerned with the Jageshwar festival has led to delay and uncertainty.

“The Jageshwar festival kept us occupied, due to which the date for the Badri Kedar festival could not be kept. We will soon organise a befitting festival at Rishikesh for which the dates will be announced shortly,” said Bina Bhatt, Director, Department of Culture.
