In what could be a birthday gift to Delhites on his own birthday, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal may present the Jan Lokpal bill on 16th of August. The Jan Lokpal bill has been the chief factor which led to the rise of the Aam Aadmi Party. According to sources, all formalities regarding the Jan Lokpal bill have been completed and the Kejriwal led government has drafted the bill on the same blueprint which Anna Hazare led movement had wanted from the UPA government.
The Jan Lokpal bill was the reason Kejriwal had resigned as the CM of Delhi after 49 days since the first time his party had come to power in Delhi in a collation with Congress. Now with a supreme majority in Delhiā€™s legislative assembly, AAP may bring forward the bill in a special session of the New Delhi Vidhan Sabha.
