Pithoragarh SDM seriously injured after being hit by a car

Pithoragarh: Pithoragarh SDM Anurag Arya sustained serious injuries after being hit by a car while participating in a bicycle rally organised on the occasion of Independence day. The SDM was rushed to the district hospital from where he was referred to Haldwani. According to information, the government had organised a bicycle rally to celebrate the nation’s Independence Day, SDM Anurag Arya was also a participant in the rally. When he reached near Jakhani Road he was hit by a jeep and became unconscious on the spot.

The SDM recevied serious injuries on his head and after undergoing CT scans he was referred to Haldwani. According to locals lack of traffic control on the rally route led to the accident in which a boy was also seriously injured.
