Ranikhet: LIC agent found murdered in village home

Ranikhet: An LIC agent was found murdered outside his house in Pandey Kota village (block Tarikhet). The DM has given orders to the local police and SGO team to conduct enquiry into the matter. As per information received, Narendra Singh Negi (age 40 years), an LIC agent by profession was found lying in a pool of blood outside his home in Pandey Kota village. Prima Facie reports  suggest that he was attacked by by sticks and sharp weapons during the night, on hearing his screams his 75 year old mother Pushpa Devi came out of the house to help her son but the assailants attacked her as well and thinking that the mother and son are dead went away. In the morning villagers found their bodies lying in a pool of blood. The locals called the police and administration to report the matter and took the victims mother to the hospital from where she was reffered to Sushila Tiwari Hospital, Haldwani. She is reported to have received serious injuries on her head. The police team are waiting to record her statement which can help them solve the case. Meanwhile, the police have recovered a mobile phone from the spot.
