“This year we have Bollywood celebrities including Vidyut Jamwal, Soha Ali Khan along with South Indian filmstars like Amala Paul, Sanjjanaa Galrani and Parul Yadav walking the ramp during the three-day-long event,” she said.

The MFW will showcase contemporary, fusion and bridal collection with fifteen designers from across India participating in it, said Ballal, who will be showcasing her Bridal collection on the last day of the event.

“Mysore is a traditional, heritage and conservative city. Nobody comes here for fashion. Till we pulled out our first event people were saying that being a small city there would be no footfall for such kind of an event in Mysore,” said Ballal.

“But the last day of the first edition (2014) we had jam-packed crowd. The elite crowd turned up for the show. They were impressed and we decided to grow up from there,? she said.

“This is for the first time that something like this happened in Mysore (fashion event). So now everyone is looking ahead for the second season,” she said.

The event will feature several fashion designers including Robert Naorem, Roopa Gangadhar, Jayasubeishaa, Reshma Kunhi, Yogesh Chaudhari, Almaz Syed, Sanjukta Dutta, Shipra Karnani, Pinky Kachchela, Mona Shroff, Deepali Shah, Ashok Mannay, Maheshwari Ayappan Saroj Jalan and Jayanti Ballal, displaying their works.
