Government makes various changes to benefit patients at public hospitals

Nainital: National Health Program director Dr Ajeet Gairola today informed that from next month onwards medicines and checkups at state government hospitals would be free of cost. Dr Gairola who was on a visit alongwith a team of experts from the central government informed that the cost for free treatment under the Chief Minister Health policy has been increased from Rs 50000 to Rs 2 lakh.

The state government policy for treatment expenses upto Rs 1.5 lakh is also being simplified for the benefit of the public. Dr JN Srivastav who led the team of experts from the central government convened a meeting with the health officials and took their feedback on various points.
