State level women open invitational hockey tournament from November 22

Dehradun: The state sports department in association with state hockey association will be conducting state level women open invitational hockey tournament at Dehradun from November 22 to 24.

“This will be an only women tournament and over 13 girls teams from all the districts are expected to take part in it. Our plan is to organize it in the Welhams Girls school,” said SK Sarki, district sports officer.

The tournament will be played on league come knockout basis. “The teams would be pooled in four groups and initial phase will be played on league basis. The top team from all the four pools will play knockout semi-final match to confirm a place in finals,” said district sports officer.
