Delhi University’s Women’s Association elections on 9th Jan
Delhi University today notified the schedule of elections of the Executive Committee of Delhi University’s Women’s Association (DUWA).
“The elections for the posts of Vice President, Secretary, Joint Secretary, Treasurer, Convenors of respected affiliated units and seven members, will be held on January 9,” an official notification said.
Last date for filing the nominations is December 30 and scrutiny of the applications will be held on January 2, it added.
Some of the projects started by the DUWA include SAHYOG-a tuition support programme for school students, VAATSALYA-a day care centre for children of DU employees, DRISHTI-support system for varsity’s visually challenged students and a Mind and Body Centre which offers Naturopathy and homeopathy services to students and faculty.
The association had earlier this year launched a telephone helpline to offer free counselling sessions to students and faculty members of various colleges which will help them to cope up with the professional and personal stress.
