Cops sieze illegal liquor worth over Rs 11 lakh

Nainital: Vigilant Police officials seized a consignment of 1500 liquor bottles that were being transported illegally to Nainital district. According to reports police officials stopped a suspicious looking pick up truck travelling from Lohaghat towards Nainital late last night. Upon further investigation police’s suspicion proved right as the vehicle was carrying 1500 bottles of alcohol without permit.

The police team swung into action and nabbed the drivers on the spot and also seized the pickup truck’s content. The total amount of the bottles is estimated to be Rs 11 lakh 25 thousand.
