State level hockey championship trials to be held on December 11

State-level hockey championship scheduled to take place at Haldwani

The District Sports Office (DSO) Dehradun is going to hold trials for women hockey players for the forthcoming state-level hockey championship scheduled to take place at Haldwani later this month.

Giving details, SK Sarki, district sports officer (DSO), Dehradun said, “The trials will be held at pavilion ground in the state capital on December 11 and as many as 50 hockey players from the district are likely to take part in the trials. All the arrangements have been made.”

Notably, around 20 talented girl hockey players would be selected during the trial and the selected players will have to undergo a week-long training at a hockey camp to be conducted by the sports department.

“A district team would be formed out of the players attending the camp, which will represent the district in the forthcoming state-level girls hockey championship to be held at Haldwani on December 19,” said SK Sarki.
