Heavy rain alert in west coast due to cyclone Shaheen

In the midst of the Corona pandemic, there is an outbreak of cyclonic storm one after the other in many states of the country. The havoc of Gulab is not over yet that the fear of a new cyclonic storm Shaheen has become stronger. This can have an impact especially on people living in the coastal areas of Maharashtra and Gujarat. The Shaheen storm, which will form in the Arabian Sea, will affect the coastal areas of Maharashtra and Gujarat.

Heavy rain warning in Maharashtra and Gujarat

The Meteorological Department has said in the forecast that there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain at isolated places over Gujarat, Central Maharashtra and Konkan and Goa. Heavy rain expected in Telangana

Rain lashed many parts of Telangana even as the India Meteorological Department warned that heavy rain is likely at isolated places in different districts of the state in the next 48 hours. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao took stock of the situation. He directed to take necessary precautions against any loss of life and property due to forecast of heavy rains for the next two days across the state.

According to the Meteorological Department on Wednesday, the cyclonic storm Gulab has weakened into a depression. According to weather officials, Cyclone Gulab, which originated in the Bay of Bengal, may re-emerge as Cyclone Shaheen in 2-3 days. The storm has been named ‘Shaheen’ by Qatar, which is a part of the member states for naming a tropical cyclone in the Indian Ocean.

According to the Meteorological Department, the center of depression remains in Telangana and adjoining areas of Marathwada and Vidarbha. A team of NDRF is being deployed in Osmanabad, Maharashtra. According to the Meteorological Department, another cyclone Shaheen can now form over the Arabian Sea from the remnants of Cyclone Gulab. The weather system developed due to Cyclone Gulab is likely to emerge over northeast Arabian Sea and adjoining Gujarat coast around Thursday evening and intensify further over northeast Arabian Sea.
