Dehradun police release CCTV image of terror suspect standing with 7-8 other suspects

Dehradun: Dehdradun Police has issued an alert about a suspected terrorist entering the Uttarakhand capital. The city police has released a CCTV photo of the suspect and asked people to be on alert.

Uttarakhand DGP BS Sidhu told reporters that a group of eight men may try to create trouble in the state. Sidhu said the police have received information that one of the members of the group has sneaked into Dehradun.

 Police suspect that it could be a group of eight to 10 men, out of which the image of one was captured in a CCTV camera.
Without disclosing the location of the CCTV footage, the DGP police said: “it was a serious issue and police teams were making an effort to get into the details.”

According to sources, police, as well as state intelligence unit, have launched an extensive campaign to catch the group. The issue has set alarm bells ringing in the police top brass as four alleged members of Islamic State (IS) were arrested from Roorkee recently.

4 suspects questioned bu cops in Pithoragarh

The Uttarakhand police questioned 4 people after locals reported their suspicious behavior to the cops. According to reports, the suspects had come to Dharchula via the Delhi-Dharchula bus and were staying at a local hotel.
