Second phase of Odd-Even formula from 15 to 30 April

The second phase of the odd even road formula for private cars will be implemented in New Delhi between April 15 and 30.
The decision was taken in the last month, and was formally communicated on Monday.

Delhi CM had earlier claimed that decision to restart the scheme is result of a majority of Delhi residents voting for bringing back the scheme. “We are also seriously considering implementing the scheme for two weeks every month,” Kejriwal said. According to Kejriwal, 81 per cent of people from Delhi wanted the scheme back. The government had initiated phone calls, asked people to submit their feedback on an email address, and organised Jan Sabhas to gather opinion on bringing back the rule.

No school buses will be used this time . The government is looking to run ‘Paryavaran Bus Seva, where 50% seats will be reserved for women. There will be marshals in each buses.

The odd-even rule was first brought in the capital on January 1, following the Supreme Court’s order to impose emergency measures to reduce alarming air pollution levels in the capital.
