Uttarakhand corona update: 99 new cases, 2 deaths in last 24 hours

Corona infection is gaining momentum in Uttarakhand. Within the last 24 hours, 99 new infected have been found in the state. While 23 patients have been cured. The graph of infection rate is increasing on the basis of Covid sample test. 456 active patients are undergoing treatment.

According to the Health Department, the test report of 1501 samples has come negative on Thursday. At the same time, maximum 62 infected patients have been found in Dehradun district, 11 in Haridwar, 13 in Nainital, 1 in Pauri, 4 in Pithoragarh, 3 each in Tehri and Almora and 2 in Chamoli. The state’s recovery rate was 95.66 percent and infection rate was 6.19 percent.

Precautionary dose of anti Covid vaccine will be available for free from Friday

People between the ages of 18 and 59, who have applied the second dose of vaccine against corona in the state, will be given free precautionary doses from July 15. For this, the Health Department has completed preparations. People will get precautionary dose free of cost in one thousand centers across the state. Now they will not have to pay Rs 386.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has appealed to the people of the state to apply precautionary doses of the vaccine to prevent corona infection. He said that in view of the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, the Central Government would launch a campaign to impose precautionary doses across the state for the next 75 days from July 15. In this, eligible beneficiaries above 18 years will now get a free precautionary dose. Till now, free precautionary doses were being administered to the elderly, health workers and front line workers above 60 years of age. People in the age group of 18 to 59 years had to pay Rs 386 in private hospitals for the precautionary dose.

The CM appealed to the people and said that vaccination is our biggest weapon in the fight against the corona pandemic. All the eligible beneficiaries above the age of 18 years must be a part of the campaign and get the precautionary dose. National Health Mission Director Dr. Saroj Naithani informed that people above the age of 18 years who have completed six months or 26 weeks of getting the second dose of the vaccine, will be given free precautionary doses. From July 15, precautionary doses will be available free of cost in government health centers. Guidelines have been issued to all the districts.
