Supreme Court declines to hear urgent plea against ‘mahapanchayat’

The tussle over the mahapanchayat to be held on June 15 at Purola in Uttarkashi does not seem to be ending. The Supreme Court refused to consider the petition to stop the mahapanchayat. After which the petitioner has approached the Nainital High Court.

A petition has been filed on behalf of the petitioner in the Nainital High Court to prohibit the Mahapanchayat. The side that went to the Supreme Court against the mahapanchayat to be held on June 15 had suffered a major setback. The Supreme Court refused to hear the matter. The court made strong remarks in this matter.

The Supreme Court refused to consider the petition

The Supreme Court, while refusing to consider the petition to ban the mahapanchayat expected to be held on June 15, said that it is the responsibility of the state to maintain law and order. ‘Why have you come here, go to the High Court. The High Court is also capable of hearing.’ After this, the High Court has been moved on behalf of the petitioner.

District administration did not give permission for mahapanchayat

Let us tell you that Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal have called a mahapanchayat in Purola of Uttarkashi. However, the district administration has not yet given its permission.
