Traffic to be diverted for upto 2 hours in Dehradun today; know details

Traffic will be diverted on some routes of the city on Monday due to the visit of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh in Dehradun. Traffic will be diverted from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. SP Traffic Akshay Konde said that the traffic will be closed and diverted at Hathibarkala area, Cantt road, GMS Road, ISBT area, St. Jude’s Chowk area.

Defense Minister’s convoy will pass through these routes. Traffic will be restricted on these routes half an hour before the convoy passes. All traffic to the route will be diverted through the other route. Apart from this, the diversion system will remain in force for the entire time on the routes around the helipad. The ISBT route will be closed 10 minutes before the passing of the convoy.

Ex-servicemen will give memorandum to Defense Minister Rajnath Singh who is visiting Dehradun. Memorandum will be given on discrepancies of OROP-2. The decision was taken on Sunday in a meeting of ex-servicemen of 2nd Garhwal Rifles.
