Pithoragarh Panthers rout Udham Singh Nagar Warriors 6-0 in USL 2016
After losing their opening match in the inaugural season of the Uttarakhand Super League, Pithoragarh Panthers gelled together as a unit to thrash their opponents 6 goals to nil. Playing in the picturesque stadium in Tanakpur Pithoragarh Panthers took on Udham Singh Nagar Warriors in their second Group B match. The panthers were on the prowl throughout the match and their strikers easily penetrated the Warriors’ defense. The end result was a 6-0 comprehensive victory for the Pithoragarh Panthers.
Corbett Tigers defeat Nainital FC Lakes
Nainital FC Lakes who had opened their campaign in style by scoring 5 goals in their opening encounter lost to Corbett Tigers in a close encounter in Tanakpur. The second match of the day in Tanakpur saw a decent crowd turn up despite the rains to cheer for the teams. The match was also the final match played in Tanakpur for this year’s edition of the Uttarakhand Super League.Corbett Tigers won the match by a 2-1 margin.
Dehradun Capital Rangers vs Rudraprayag Monals ends in a goal less draw
The solitary match scheduled on July 15 in Dehradun ended in a goal less draw. Both Dehradun Capital Rangers and Rudraprayag Monals created opportunities but couldn’t convert them into goals and as a result had to settle for a draw.
