17 Party members elevated to state minister in CM TS Rawat cabinet
Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, nominated 17 party workers as chairpersons, vice-presidents and advisors in various commissions, corporations, councils, committees. All 17 party workers have been given the status of Minister of State. With this, the number of top office holders in the BJP has reached around a hundred.
The Chief Minister has given these responsibilities on important posts just before the election. This is believed to be an exercise to bring party workers into active mode. Those who were given these important responsibilities include Kailash Pant from Ranikhet of Almora, Dinesh Mehra from Salt, Mohan Singh Mehra from Jageshwar, Anil Goyal from Dehradun, Pandit Subhash Joshi, Pratap Singh Rawat from Chakrata, Kamal Jindal from Sitarganj in Udham Singh Nagar, Mahuadabra from Jaspur Mukesh Kumar, Sanjay Thakur from Roorkee, Vimal Kumar from Haridwar, Ashutosh Kimothi from Rudraprayag, Maldhan Chaud from Ramnagar, Harish Dafoti from Ramnagar, former Block Head Baby Aswal from Tehri, Rajendra Juyal from Pratapnagar, Chinyalisaur, Ramsunder Nautiyal from Uttarkashi, Sushma Rao from Pauri and Arun Kumar from Doiwala.
