Rains return to torment Pithoragarh

Heavy rains once again returned to wreck havoc in the hill district of Pithoragarh. A cloud burst occurred in Dharchula region of Pithoragarh on Saturday due to which a wooden pull got washed away. Several cattle were also washed away in the flash flood like situation.

According to reports the weather started to deteriorate after Saturday evening in Pithoragarh district. Jumma tehsil in Dharchula bore the brunt of nature’s fury with flash flood occurring in Kulagad river which is a monsoonal stream.

Rajpur Road area of Dehradun too witnessed heavy rainfall late Saturday evening creating traffic snarls at many places.
