Three killed as car falls into gorge in Chamoli

Three persons, including a woman, were killed and three others injured when the car they were travelling in fell into a gorge in Chamoli district today. The mishap occurred near Chulakot village on the Karnparayg-Benital-Adibadri road.
Three persons, including a woman, were killed and as many injured in the accident, the District Disaster Management office here said.
The car was going from Dharkot to Karnparayag when the driver lost control over it near a bend and the vehicle plunged into a deep gorge, it said. Two occupants of the car were killed on the spot while one died at a hospital. One of the seriously injured has been flown to Dehradun, it said. All occupants of the car are said to be locals.
