King Charles III proclaimed Britain’s new Monarch

Britain has officially got its new monarch after Queen Elizabeth II. King Charles III was officially declared as Britain’s new monarch by the Privy Council at a meeting of the Accession Council at St James’s Palace on Saturday. A historic ceremony was held on this occasion to crown King Charles III. On this occasion all the formalities related to the making of the new emperor were completed. Former PM Boris Johnson and current Prime Minister Liz Truss were also present at the event organized on the occasion.

Delivering the Council of Accession and Principal Proclamation at St James’s Palace in London, UK, King Charles III said ‘it is my sad duty to announce the passing of my beloved mother and Queen. I know that we have all suffered an irreparable loss and how deeply you sympathize with me in this loss.’

King Charles’ full name is Charles Philip Arthur George, the eldest son of Prince Philip and Elizabeth II. Charles was born on 14 November 1948, at Buckingham Palace. Charles married Lady Diana Spencer on July 29, 1981. The two have two sons, William and Harry. In 1996, both Charles and Diana separated. Princess of Wales Diana died in a car accident in Paris in 1997. Charles later married Camilla Parker on April 9, 2005. Charles is declared king after the death of Queen Elizabeth II. After Charles became king, his eldest son, the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, would now be called the Prince of Wales.
