First case of Coronavirus patient reported in Uttarakhand

The first case of coronavirus COVID-19 has been reported in Uttarakhand on Sunday. Coronavirus has been confirmed in the Trainee IFS of Indira Gandhi National Forest Research in Dehradun. These trainees have returned after visit several countries with a team a few days ago. CMO Dr. Meenakshi Joshi has confirmed trainee IFS to have coronavirus COVID-19. The victim has been admitted to Doon Hospital. At the same time, the symptoms of corona have also been found in a boy and a girl from Selakui.

Due to this, the general public has been banned from entering the Forest Research Institute (FRI). Arun Singh Rawat, director of the Forest Research Institute, said that Indira Gandhi National Forest Research is in the FRI campus. Due to this, the movement of common people has been stopped here as a precautionary measure.

Samples of 25 people have been sent for investigation so far in the state, of which 18 have been reported so far. It has 17 negative and one positive case. Reports of the remaining seven people are yet to come.

Four trainee IFS samples were sent for examination

Teams of the administration and health department, who are vigilant about the corona virus infection, are constantly contacting various hospitals and institutes. In the same order, samples of six more patients including two trainee IFS were sent to Dr. Sushila Tiwari Government Medical College, Haldwani Lab on Saturday.

Different groups of 62 trainee IFS of the academy had returned from training tours from different countries recently. Due to this, everyone was screened. After this, on Friday, four trainee IFS samples were sent for investigation. Corona is confirmed today in one of these trainees.

Coronavirus declared epidemic in Uttarakhand

The government of Uttarakhand has declared Corona an epidemic. Urban Development Minister Madan Kaushik has confirmed this. In order to prevent viral infection, the Uttarakhand Epidemic Diseases Act (Covid-19) has been implemented in the state.

This will give the District Magistrates and Chief Medical Officers unlimited powers for the prevention of the virus. He said that under this, all the schools, colleges, theaters and multiplexes of the state will be closed till March 31. But medical colleges will remain open. At the same time, an amount of 50 crore has been approved for isolation ward in the state.
