New seat codes for train ticket booking

If you also travel by train, then there is important news for you. Now before booking the train ticket, you have to take care of some special code or else you may face problem in getting the seat. Indian Railways has changed the rules of booking of seats and coach code. Railways has introduced a new type of coach in trains under its new rule. Now through this code, you can choose your preferred seat while booking passenger tickets.

Keep this code in mind while booking tickets

The Railways is about to start many extra coaches. It also includes the economy class of AC-3 tier. This type of coach will have 83 berths. Till now the fare has not been fixed for seat booking in these third AC coaches of economy class.

Vistadome coach is very special

Actually, keeping in mind the tourism, the Railways is introducing this type of coach. The biggest feature of the Vistadome coach is that the passengers can see the outside view while sitting inside the train. The roof of these coaches will also be of glass giving a panoramic view. Railways will run at least one such AC train in almost every state. At present, this Vistadome coach runs from Dadar in Mumbai to Margao in Goa.

How will the booking be done?

The Principal Chief Commercial Managers of all the zones have been notified about the code of coaches and seats of all these categories. Under this, the booking code of the third AC class economy coach will be 3E and the code of the coach will be M. Similarly, the code of Wisdom AC coach has been kept as EV.
