The second wave of corona infection is proving to be more deadly. This year Uttarakhand has recorded a significant increase in corona infection cases. Transition has increased rapidly especially in the mountainous and rural areas. This decision has been taken in view of this. Health Secretary Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey issued an order in this regard on Friday. In which it has been said that cases of corona are coming in abundance in rural areas as well as in the city. In such a situation, it is necessary that the facility of corona testing is made available in every area. For this, he has instructed all the Chief Medical Officers to arrange for rapid antigen test in all CHCs and PHCs of his district.

The state currently has 578 PHCs and 79 CHCs. Apart from prevention of infection in hilly areas, safe delivery is also a challenge in this phase of pandemic. For this, experts have advocated corona examination at a lower level.
