Chardham Yatra 2022: Green card compulsory for private & commercial vehicles
This time for Chardham Yatra 2022, it has been made mandatory for commercial and private vehicles to take a green card as well as a trip card before leaving for the Dhams. For this, you can apply online from April 15 on the website of the Transport Department. This year the Chardham Yatra will start from the first week of May.
The record of the number of vehicles and pilgrims going on the Chardham Yatra will be kept with the trip card. Assistant Divisional Transport Officer Administration Arvind Kumar Pandey told that for green card and trip card, online application will have to be made on the website of the Transport Department.
The website will probably be opened from April 15. Four counters will be opened in ARTOs for online issuance of Green Card and Trip Card. Checkposts will open from May 1: The Transport Department will open checkposts at Bhadrakali Tiraha and Brahmapuri in Rishikesh from May 1 to organize the operation of vehicles in Chardham Yatra.
Vehicles will have to come to ARTO for fitness
Green card and trip card can be obtained from anywhere by applying online. But for the fitness of the vehicles, the vehicle will have to come to the ARTO. Green card will be valid only after fitness.
