JEE Mains Exam Fees 2018: Offline exam to cost twice as more as online mode

If you are thinking of appearing for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) main on the offline mode, it will prove to be expensive for you. CBSE has doubled the fees for paper pen mode (offline) in comparison to computer based online exam

2 slabs for JEE Mains Exam Fees 2018

CBSE board has fixed two separate slabs for JEE Main’s. Fees for General and OBC category male candidates giving either JEE Main’s paper 1 online or paper 2 online is Rs 1000 while for female candidates in the same category it is Rs 500. Whereas, the fee for boys and girls of ST-SC and Handicapped category is Rs 500. However, these fees will be reduced for candidates who give online exams for both papers. At the same time, candidates who have opted for the examination centers made out of the country will have to pay up to Rs 3800 for the two papers. All information related to it has been given in the notification issued from the board.

The offline examination will be held on April 8 under JEE Main 2018. The online exams will be held on April 15-16. Candidates will be able to apply online for an examination from December 1 onwards.

GST will be applicable on the fees

Candidates applying for JEE Main will also have to pay GST this time. Students will have to pay 18 percent GST along with the exam fee this time. This is the first test after the implementation of GST. After this, GST will be inevitably applicable to other examinations and other examinations.

Students will be able to decide the day and time of the exam

Candidates who take the JEE Main 2018 examination across the country will be able to choose the day and time of the slot for themselves. The facility to select slots will be available only for Paper-1 (Online examination-BE-BTech only) for the online examination, slot or date will be available only on first served basis. On more than one slot, the candidature will be canceled.
