Government proposes Rs 3015 crore supplementary budget at Gairsain session

In the winter session 2017 of Uttarakhand assembly at Gairsain, the government presented a supplementary budget of Rs 3015.7381 crore in the House. In this, a provision of 2170.1314 crores in revenue item and Rs.845.6067 crores in capital goods has been made.

From today the winter session of Uttarakhand assembly has begun in Gairsain. Assembly Speaker Premchand Agarwal duly performed havan worship before the session began. Whereas, local artists presented programs in Uttarakhand’s folk art and culture colors.

The proceedings of the House began at 11 in the morning. Congress demanded discussion in Rule 310 by stopping all the proceedings of the House on the issue of border expansion of city bodies and issue of capital in the state. In support of the demand, members of the opposition made noise for some time.

The Speaker assured the discussion in the workplace on issues of the opposition. After this the members of the opposition sat in their place and the question hour started. On the other hand, state agitators performed under the assembly gherao program demanding the creation of Gairsain to be a permanent capital outside the House. The police stopped the protesters just a few minutes away from the assembly. At four o’clock in the evening, the government presented a supplementary budget.
