Collectorate employees go on 3 day strike

Collectorate and Tehsil employees on Tuesday boycotted the work and started dharna in Haridwar. Employees expressed displeasure against the government if the action was not taken on their five-point demands. On Tuesday, due to the agitation, the people in the Collectorate and Tehsil had to be disappointed as no work was possible.

Collectorate employees started the three-day work boycott on Tuesday, on the call of Uttarakhand Collectorate Ministerial Staff Association. Leaving work and sitting at the Employee Collectorate premises. Employees strongly shouted slogans against the government. Deepak Rajput, President of Haridwar, District Branch, said that despite repeated requests, the government is not restructuring the structure of the Collectorate. He said that the government should take immediate action on long pending demands. Sanjay Narayan Khati said that four years ago, in the Cabinet meeting, it was decided to reserve 10% of the vacancy of nayab tehsildar post for ministerial employees. But till today the mandate was not issued in this regard.

Patron Vinod Kumar said that now there is a time of competition and there should be a change in merit according to time. The qualifications of collective ministry personnel should now be made to graduate level by enhancing from intermediate. Senior vice-president Sanjay Tripathi said that the junior assistant sanctioned in newly created tehsil should have a increased grade pay of 2000 from current 1900 while grade pay of senior assistant posts should be increased from 2400 to 2800. Speakers warned that if their demands were still not met then an indefinite strike will be started.
