Nainital Jal Sansthan collects 2 crores out of 12 crore dues after launching this scheme

Due to the decision to waive off surcharge of water and sewer tax by the government, the recovery of the water resources has accumulated. Out of the 12 crore rupees due to the organization in a fortnight, the Jal Sansthan has collected two crore rupees. The water bodies are expected to recover the remaining debt in the next fortnight.

On the instructions of the government, the Jal Sanshan is giving a 100% discount on surcharge in the remaining deposits from January 1 to January 31. While 75 percent from February to 15 February, 60 percent from 16 February to 28 February and 50 percent discount from March 1 to March 15. In order to benefit the consumers and increase revenue, the water bodies are camping place-to-place. Executive Engineer Santosh Upadhyay said that out of the outstanding of Rs 12 crore, the revenue of about two crore rupees has accumulated so far. As the camp is giving information about the exemption of people, the number of consumers who deposit the bill is also increasing.
