Aruna Reddy creates history; becomes first Indian gymnast to win medal in Gymnastics World Cup

Hyderabad’s Aruna B. Reddy made history, becoming the first Indian gymnast to win a personal medal in the Gymnastics World Cup. She won bronze medal in women’s vault event in Melbourne.

The 22-year-old gymnast won the bronze medal with a score of 13.649 in the Hisense Arena in Melbourne. Slovenia’s Tijasa Kislef won the gold medal with a score of 13.800, while Emily Whithead of Australia won silver with a score of 13.699. Another Indian Pranati Nayak, who arrived in the final round, remained sixth with 13.416 points.
