Over 2 lakh state employees in Uttarakhand go on strike
State employees have made trouble for the government before the upcoming assembly session. Angry over the lack of demand of ACP, nearly two lakh state employees of Uttarakhand went on work boycott from today. Under this, employees started agitation at the district headquarters.
Council’s spokesperson Arun Pandey said that on 27th November the meeting of the Council of the Chief Secretary was held. While there was consensus on most points, but they did not receive satisfactory answers on ACP. It was reported that employees who did not receive promotion for long periods in advance were given pay scale relative to promotion on service of ten, 16 and 26 years respectively.
But, now it has been increased to ten, 20 and 30 years. Along with this promotion has been levied and the next level of salary has been made, which has caused considerable loss to the employees. This is why the Council has decided to initiate the movement. In this, employees will boycott work by starting a signature campaign from one to seven December.
At the same time, the President of the Council, Thakur Prahlad Singh, Maha Pradip Kohli, District President Doon Omvir Singh, District Minister PL Badoni Secretariat will make continuous hunger. Even after this, if the demand for the organization is not met, then the council will give the movement an indefinite form. He said that in this movement 215 cadres of Uttarakhand are participating in the state employees.
Ambiguity on boycott
In Haridwar, there is a situation in the district about the work boycott of the employees. While some employees of the Joint Council of State employees are boycotting the work, the Uttaranchal Federation Ministral Association has kept itself separate from it. This has a mixed effect of job exclusion. Rajesh Srivastava, District President, Joint Council of State Employees, said that due to the promise of the government, the work is being boycotted on the call of the provincial leadership.
