Aarushi-Hemraj murder case to be re-examined by Supreme Court

The Supreme Court will investigate the Allahabad High Court’s decision to acquit Rajesh Talwar and Nupur Talwar. The Supreme Court will decide if the Allahabad High Court’s verdict is correct or not. The Supreme Court approved the petition of Hemraj’s wife, Khumkala Benzade. Benzade has challenged the Allahabad High Court verdict. The CBI too has filed a plea but there are some flaws in it. This means that it will take time to hear the case.

In December last year, Hemraj’s wife filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the decision to acquit the Talwar couple. Hemraj’s wife Khumkala Benzade said in the petition that the High Court’s decision being wrong because the High Court has treated the case as a murder but has not convicted anyone.

It means that no one has killed both. In such cases, the investigation agency’s duty is to detect the killers. It has also been said in the petition that the High Court has failed to consider the theory of last seen, while there was concrete proof that Nupur Talwar and Rajesh Talwar were present in  L-32 Jalvayu Vihar with those who died.
