Uttarakhand government withdraws 31 March inter-district movement window

The Trivandra Rawat government has withdrawn the order to open inter-district traffic by relaxing 13 hours in the lock-down on 31 March. The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has issued strict guidelines regarding lockdown for all states on Sunday. After this, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat withdrew the order to operate the traffic. Simultaneously, there will be a complete ban on traffic from one district to another.

Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat on Saturday ordered the opening of the boundaries of all the districts within the state for traffic for a day. On March 31, from 7 am to 8 pm, so that people stuck in other districts could move with the permission of the administration. The government had also decided to operate state transport corporation buses. However, many people were not accepting this decision of the government in the midst of lockdown.

Meanwhile, in a meeting held in New Delhi on Sunday with the Home Minister of the high officials of the Union Home Ministry, there was a churn in the migration of workers in many states. After this, the Ministry of Home Affairs ordered all the states not to conduct any kind of traffic between the states and districts till the period of lockdown. On this order of the Center, Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh has sent a letter to the District Collectors of all the districts to ensure strict compliance of this order. Due to this, the government’s plan to provide inter-district traffic on March 31 to relieve people stranded in another district was also canceled.

Shops will open from seven to one in the morning

The state government has upheld the decision to relax the lockdown by six hours. The government has continued to allow the public to move out of the house for the purchase of essential items from seven in the morning to one in the afternoon. But during this time, four-wheelers will be completely banned.

– Traffic on interstate border restricted.
– People will not be able to move from one district to another.
– Only vehicles of essential goods will run.
– Where the person is, they should stay there.
– Workers’ wages will not be cut during lockdown.
– Employers of shops, hotels, other establishments will have to pay wages.

14-day compulsory home quarantine

It will be the responsibility of the district administration to quarantine people who have entered the district from other states or cities. The Center has given strict instructions that everyone should be kept under full supervision after 14 days of home quarantine.

The Union Home Ministry has issued a guideline to strictly follow the lockdown for prevention of corona. The state government’s decision to provide 13-hour relief for conducting inter-state traffic on March 31 has been withdrawn. The decision of the Center is in the public interest.
