Flower shop in Dehradun’s paltan bazar engulfed in fire
There was a fierce fire in the warehouse of the Lal flower store located in the crowded Macchi Bazar area of Paltan Bazar. Fire Brigade, who reached the spot, managed to overcome the fire. Till then, all the material kept in the warehouse had been burnt to ashes. There was a ruckus around the fire due to the location being a residential area. The reason for the fire is being interpreted as a short circuit.
Sanjay Anand son of Ramlal Anand in the Macchi Bazar has a shop named ‘Lal Flower Store’. The storehouse was made upstairs. In which the stuff of readymade firewood and plastic flowers and decoration was filled.
Suddenly smoke started rising from the warehouse. Before the store owner and the surrounding people understood something, the flames started flowing out of the warehouse. The surrounding people gave information to the police and fire brigade.
Five cars of Fire Brigade reached the spot with police on the spot and started the process of fire extinguishing. After half an hour of hardship the fire was subdued. Chief fire officer Sandeep Rana said that the reason for the fire at first sight appeared to be caused by short circuit. The reasons are being investigated.
