Lockdown announced in Nagpur from 15 to 21 March as Corona cases rise

Cases of corona infection are on the rise with Maharashtra having the highest number of cases. In view of Corona cases, the Uddhav government of the state has taken a big decision and announced a complete lockdown in Nagpur from March 15 to 21. 1,513 new cases of corona infection have been registered in Nagpur in the last 24 hours. After this, the number of corona infected in Nagpur city has increased to 2 lakh 43 thousand 726. So far, 4,877 people have also been reported dead.

Interestingly, exactly one year ago, the first COVID patient was found in Nagpur on the same day. In Maharashtra, 13,659 new Covid-19 cases were registered on Wednesday, which is about 60 percent of the country’s daily new cases. In particular, six states including Maharashtra, Kerala, Punjab, Karnataka, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu have reported an increase of 85.91 percent in coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours.
